Four ways to fabulous fundraising for a CG100 Christmas!

In last week’s blog we told you how excited we are to be only £5,000 away from reaching our £50,000 fundraising target, and we promised you some simple fundraising tips to help get us over the line.

Christmas is a busy and expensive time of year, so we’re helping to make things easy by giving you four easy and affordable ways to fundraise and help to reach our £50,000 target.  As well as adding a feel-good festive season into the bargain!

  1. Get in the festive spirit by inviting friends or colleagues to tea and mince pies and ask everyone make a donation towards the CG100*. Use our posters and quiz cards to raise awareness of social isolation.
  2. Share one of our pre-designed social media memes to your social networks, to help us reach even more people, and encourage them to text and donate to the campaign.
  3. Instead of sending Christmas cards this year, save the money you would spend and donate to the CG100 instead, and spread the Christmas cheer in an even more meaningful way!
  4. Sign up to Give as you Live for all your Christmas shopping needs and you’ll be raising money whilst buying all your festive gifts.

By raising £50,000 by Christmas our community development projects will be able to support more people to improve their confidence and self-esteem and learn new skills in 2018.  All vital to helping people avoid social isolation and loneliness and connect with their community.

*Fundraising Tip: Ask your local shop or supermarket if they’ll donate some festive treats for free and use the Letter of Authorisation from your Fundraising Pack to prove you’re raising money in aid of Carr Gomm!
