A real Borders team effort
In last Friday’s blog, we brought you some of the best hints and tips from our fabulous CG 100 fundraisers. Top of that list was the importance of involving as many people as possible and making it a ‘team effort’. By dividing up the tasks and playing to people’s strengths, not only are you likely to raise more money, but you‘ll have more fun doing it.
This was echoed by Rhona who, along with her team in the Borders, raised over £540 through auctioning a week’s stay in a beautiful caravan in Innerleithen, donated by team member Lesley.
Rhona is extremely proud of her whole team’s fundraising efforts and also wanted to highlight one particular member of staff who, in her words, “went above and beyond” in helping to organise their auction.
Huge thanks to Angie Ramage who, through her contacts and networks locally, sold over half the auction entries. As well as raising precious funds for the CG100 she used the auction as an opportunity to raise the profile of Carr Gomm with the local community. Angie’s positive outlook and go getting attitude was instrumental in the team not just reaching, but exceeding their £500 target.
Congratulations to Rhona, Angie, Lesley and everyone in the Borders team for their fantastic fundraising.
Over 130 people the length and breadth of Scotland have joined the CG100 raising funds to tackle social isolation and loneliness. With many more attending events, donating prizes, buying raffle tickets and eating cakes(!) we’re absolutely thrilled that every one of you chose to support Carr Gomm.
