Spreading the word far and wide

One of the great things about the CG 100 campaign has been the diversity of our donors helping us to reach our £50,000 total by Christmas.

As well as our fabulous CG 100 fundraisers each raising £500 (and in many cases a lot more!) we’re also building a network of corporate donors throughout the country.  Some have pledged or made cash donations, some have hosted a collecting tin and we’ve also received some very welcome donations through token schemes such as Waitrose Community Matters.

Another fantastic corporate relationship we’ll be celebrating this weekend is our Charity of the Year Partnership with Sainsbury’s Local in Howe Street in Edinburgh.  Carr Gomm staff will be in store between over the weekend chatting with customers and spreading the word about our work.  If you’re in the area do come along and say hello.

Local knowledge is often key to building relationships, so if you know of a business that would like to partner with Carr Gomm please get in touch.  If your team has an idea for tackling social isolation and loneliness that needs some funds to get it off the ground, we can provide collecting tins for your local shop or pub, or you could nominate your team for your supermarket token scheme.

Early in 2018 we’ll be launching our fundraising calendar with ideas and events that everyone can get involved with and we’re looking for suggestions from across the country.  So if you know of a great fundraising opportunity happening in your area let us know.

And don’t forget our four easy fundraising tips from last week’s blog.  With only £5000 to raise to reach our £50,000 total we’re so nearly there.
